Pash, Pick or Pass: Mildred Pierce (1945)

Pash, Pick or Pass was created by Belle's Bookshelf where you take characters from books or films and say who you will pash (kiss), pick or pass altogether. I thought this would be a great idea once in awhile to use on my blog here so Belle kindly gave me to permission to do so (always giving credit of course). Thanks!

The first one will deal with the three main men of the film noir classic Mildred Pierce and if you want choose who you will have and who will go.

Pash - Monte

The scheming second husband who Veda (the brattiest, most unselfish daughter on film) eventually takes up with. My first choice is because of Zachary Scott who plays him and because he was pretty hot, and a good actor and so convincing in this role. I liked the way he looks at Mildred the first time they meet.

Pick - Bert

Mildred's first husband and father of her children. He may have left her but in the end he comes back which makes him not the cad he was in the first place.

Pass - Wally

He's kinda off-putting in a way, not that Jack Carson was, just the character. He's attracted to Mildred by the constant come ons and she keeps rejecting him, take a hint. I do give him some credit for still maintaining a friendship although he wants more.

Put me in the "pash" column for Mildred Pierce -- I think it's Crawford's best movie.

Who do you pick to make out with, who do you choose altogether and who would you pass on..that's what it all means.

What a fun idea this is! Can I take Bruce Bennett for both pash and pick?

Yes, definitely, I bet it's more fun that way ;)
